Jennifer Rutheny received her art degree from SUNY New Paltz in 1993. For the next eight years she honed her skills working with esteemed jewelers David Yurman, Barbara Heinrich, Constance Gildea and Jose Grant. During this period she also studied art at Scuola Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. In 1998, Jennifer opened her own studio in New York and Rutheny Jewelry was founded. She designs, produces and markets her jewelry and one-of-a-kind miniatures, which are sold in retail shows and galleries around the country. Her main inspiration is nature which she recreates in her sculptural jewelry. Jennifer also specializes in unique, custom orders.

 

In April 2007, Jennifer Rutheny was profiled in The New York Times. Her work has also been featured on VH1, The Today Show on NBC and in Bride's Magazine and The Journal News. She's also recently designed for Anne Klein, Jones NY, Estee Lauder and The River Keeper Organization.
